Viewer allows you to get immersed at an exact point and scale on a scene during play.

### Play from the viewer

If you set the viewer as a [target on the timeline](/master/tools/timeline.md#target-cameras-and-vr-viewers) and press play, you will be immersed in the viewer. To exit—press Stop on your controller.

### Modes

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=ZKG5nLgDFAg>" %}

You can switch between 3 modes of the viewer:

1. **Point** immerses you in the position and scale of the avatar figure at the exact height.&#x20;
2. **Standing Point** does the same as Point but places your virtual head above the virtual floor at the distance of your real floor.
3. **Area** positions you relative to the actual tracking area of your VR setup, where the center of your tracking area in the real world is the center inside the viewer's area.<br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://learn.tvori.co/master/scene-tools/viewer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
